Post it anywhere: an email, a Slack DM, a LinkedIn message, your newsletter. Anyone who lands on migratelms.com through your link is attributed to you for 90 days.
They sign a contract and pay the deposit
We do our thing: scope the project, deliver a fixed-price quote, sign the contract, run the migration.
You get paid. They get a discount.
When the deposit clears, you get $500 via your choice of ACH, PayPal, or a credit against your next migration. They get $500 off their invoice automatically.
Why the numbers work
Our average project is around $3,500. The customer acquisition cost for a well-targeted Google Ads click-to-close is well north of $500 in this category — we've measured it. Paying that $500 to someone who already vouched for us is strictly better: faster sales cycle, higher close rate, and the goodwill goes to someone who earned it.
The second $500 goes to the client. They get a discount on an already fixed price — not a "come negotiate and we'll maybe drop $500" promise. The invoice line item is real.
Program details
- Who can participate?
- Anyone: agency partners, former clients, consultants, friends. You don't need to be a developer. We do ask that the referral be genuine — someone you believe will actually benefit from the migration. Self-referrals, affiliate-style bulk-posting, and AI-generated outreach don't qualify.
- How long is the attribution window?
- 90 days from the first time someone lands on migratelms.com through your link. If they bounce and come back through an organic link within the window, you still get credit. If they land through another referrer's link first, that referrer is the attributed one.
- Is there a cap?
- No cap on the number of referrals. We'll cap anyone who refers more than 10 paid clients in a single year only to discuss whether it's time for an agency partnership instead — the economics work better for both of us at that volume.
- What if they refuse the $500 discount?
- Your $500 is independent of whether they accept the discount. Some agencies prefer to bill clients full price and bank the discount against overages — that's fine.
- What counts as a qualifying referral?
- The referred client must (a) sign a migration contract with us, (b) pay the deposit, and (c) not dispute the charge within 60 days. Refunded or disputed projects don't pay out.
- How do I track my referrals?
- Email referrals@migratelms.com any time and we'll send your current pipeline state. We'll eventually build a dashboard for this — we're not there yet.
